Why Mike Vick Got The Deal

Did anyone see this coming? Paying someone who is less than two years removed from prison a $100 Million dollars is quite a leap of faith. This is what the Philadelphia Eagles front office have done with rewarding Mike Vick this obscene amount of money. Is he really worth it? Time will tell, but for someone who is 31 years of age and injury proned , this could really bite the Eagles in the rear end. I guess the front office of the Eagles had no choice since they traded Kevin Kolb to the Cardinals who was originally their heir to the QB position. I understand that since the release from prison, he has done everything right with his second chance such as being an advocate for dog rights and staying out of domestic issues. Since the Eagles don't have a true backup at this point and didn't want to face a bidding war at the end season, the Eagles took the beating now instead of later. Not bad for a convicted felon.
